A popular format is to have a the DJ start the evening by making all the necessary announcements and playing the first dance, followed by an easy listening set whilst guests arrive and settle into the evening. Once the the drinks are flowing the Ceilidh band will be welcomed with open arms. All dances will be called and whenever you're ready, the DJ will recommence and take the party into the small hours.
